Welcome to Linklater guitars.
Linklater guitars is the creation of Mark Linklater, a master craftsman who has been a carpenter making bespoke furniture and cabinets for 30 years. Over the last 3 years he his become more interested in music and since taking up guitar lessons he has turned his carpentry skills to guitar making with spectacular results. Because of his deep knowledge of carpentry he is able to create guitars which, through his study of the bracings sound incredible giving all his guitars a unique volume and resonance as well as looking beautiful. They are a joy to play and listen to. He uses the best materials to hand craft each guitar. These aren't guitars straight of a production line, these are labours of love with every guitar being completely unique no design is repeated.
Where ever possible Mark uses reclaimed materials to create the guitars. For example for two of the guitars the backs are made from 400 year old mahogany and maple. This means the wood used to make these guitars has had time to mature which gives it a stunning finish and also uses materials that would have otherwise gone to waste.
If you've always wanted a custom guitar then Mark is the man to talk to. He will create you something unique that you will enjoy playing for years to come and unlike production line guitars it wont depreciate in value because it will be the only one of its kind!
